Personnel from the Corporate Office of Alano and Sons Credit Corporation (ASCC) has conducted a tree-planting activity in Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte last June 6, 2017 as part of its semi-annual Environmental Corporate Social Responsibility.
The group has planted 500 seedlings of Mahogany near the river banks of Langatian River. It can be remembered that same river overflowed last January 16, 2017 due to heavy rains triggered by a low pressure area which claimed a number of lives and left other residents homeless as the heavy floods invaded their homes. A relief goods distribution was also done by ASCC following this unfortunate event.
Each year, all branches and offices of Alano and Sons Credit Corporation conduct their semi-annual tree planting activity or clean-up drive as a fulfillment of the company’s aim of contributing to the welfare and preservation of the environment and to also contribute to the development of the community it serves.
